China Cabinet

China Cabinet by Bruce Beck — view 1

While this piece is not representative of an authentic 18th century furniture type (i.e. table-height carcase with two full-height doors enclosing one or more shelves), it is very similar in appearance to any number of cabinets built to a smaller scale and put to a variety of usages. My inspiration was a Queen Anne spice cabinet shown on page 2463 of American Antiques from the Israel Sack collection.
