The arm chairs were inspired by Ron Clarkson's book, Making Classic Chairs, published by Fox Chapel Publishing Co., 1997. The chairs are made from mahogany, with shellac and wax finish. Mr. Clarkson's book showed the detail to make a side chair of this design, and I made the seat 2 inches wider and added the arms.
