Primary woods: Honduran mahogany. Secondary woods & materials: maple and mahogany veneers; poplar drawer interiors; interiors of curved doors are layered from 1/8 inch bending poplar; wide center section includes a piece of angle iron for stiffness. Serpentine shape is similar to the cover photo in American Antique Furniture by P. Petraglia. Inlay on legs is similar to William Whitehead's, as shown on page 237 of The New Fine Points of Furniture by A. Sack.
