Chippendale Pembroke Table by Donald Bradley — view 1

This Pembroke table is a composite of two or three Philadelphia designs. The wood (Swietenia mahogani) was cut from a dead tree in Miami, Florida and milled with a chainsaw lumber mill. The wood was oxidized with potassium dichromate and finished with shellac and wax. The secondary wood is poplar. Hand carved or scratch beaded moldings. Cock-beaded drawer with Ball & Ball hardware. This table was in Fine Woodworking, Design Book Three. Photo by The Smithwrights
