This table was inspired by the gallery tables in Albert Sack's The New Fine Points of Furniture. The primary wood is Swietenia mahogani (salvaged from a tree damaged by hurricane Andrew) with satinwood and crotch mahogany overlays. The satinwood is cross banded with fiddleback mahogany, holly and ebonized stringing. Molded top, cock-beaded drawer, reeded legs, recycled ivory escutcheon, poplar secondary wood and Ball & Ball hardware. Photo by The Smithwrights
