Queen Anne Tea Table by Carl Maples — view 1

Plans from: Queen Anne Furniture, Norman Vandal, 2006 Edition, Pages 142-149.   Finish: 1.) Garnet Shellac wash 2.) Old Masters Grain Filler w/Burnt Umber tint, 3.) Garnet Shellac wash, 4.) The formula is: 1 part Spar Varnish, 4 parts Minwax Antique Oil Finish, 1 part Turpentine. The finish is rubbed on.   I followed the plans with the following exceptions: 1. I Used cross-grain rim moldings for the end grain sides and used a different method for attaching the top which I think will provide less possibility of cracks forming on the top. And 2; I used trifid feet instead of spoon feet.  The foot design is similar to the trifid feet I saw on a small Goddard/Townsend table.
