This cabinet is based on Steve Latta's design as published by Fine Woodworking #196 in 2008. As described by Fine Woodworking, this design is typical of those popular among Pennsylvania Quakers throughout the 18th century. The cabinet is fitted with banks of small drawers and features four hidden compartments. In this period, spice cabinets were displayed as symbols of prosperity. This case was made of African mahogany, with tulipwood inlay. The door has a custom line and berry design that is typical of the period and includes holly and walnut inlays.
