Spice Chest by Zachary Dillinger — view 1

This piece is a reproduction of a c.1720 William and Mary spice chest from Philadelphia. It is made entirely with hand tools, no power tools of any kind are used in my work. Primary wood is walnut, with poplar, white pine and cedar secondary woods. The hardware is from Londonderry. This piece, featured in the August 2013 issue of Popular Woodworking Magazine, was shown at the Design Build Show in Boston in early 2013, and was featured at the SAPFM exhibition at the Detroit Institute of Arts in March 2013.
