Finish: aniline dye (Lockwood #57) shellac Looking for a subject for my first table at NBSS, I was inspired by the two tables shown on p392 of American Furniture: The Federal Period by Charles F. Montgomery. This design is a combination of details selected from both tables and allowed me to work on turning, carving, sliding dovetails, coped shoulders, and finishing without being completely overwhelmed.
