Although it may not look like other Stickley pieces, the Poppy Table was one of several art nouveau inspired pieces produce by Gus Stickley shortly before he introduced his more familiar Craftsman style furniture. This was featured in an article in the December 2007 issue of Popular Woodworking magazine. Original examples are extremely rare and tend to be a little wobbly due to the fact that the legs were attached to the top with glue blocks and screws. I engineered a pentagon-shaped hub that contains the five stretchers, dovetailed into the hub and each leg.
