Seymour Work table

Seymour Work table by Kenneth Johnson — view 1

Primary wood: Mahogany(legs), top and sides veneer: Makore and Western Red Maple(not confirmed), mahogany crotch. Secondary woods: poplar, white pine, long leaf pine (reclaimed "heart pine"). Brass pulls from Londonderry Brasses, LTD, and casters from Ball and Ball. This is my attempt to copy the Seymour Work table. One source of my study was from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the other was from the Robert Mussey, Jr. book Furniture Masterworks of John and Thomas Seymour, entry 80 shown on page 294. My furniture site has a chronology of this project at www.americanperiodfurniture.com
