Finish: aniline dye, linseed oil, garnet shellac In the fall I received a commission to reproduce an original Duncan Phyfe Lyre back chair. The client has three originals and 12 reproductions of the originals. The reproductions were built in 1938. He sent one of those reproductions home with me after I stopped by his house to meet with him. I made three repairs to the 1938 chair and reproduced it. Here are pictures of the chair I made based on the 1938 reproduction. One picture is the original and mine side by side.
