This table was designed with, and built for, a client in Milwaukee who wanted a Federal-style table. The stringing was first shellacked with a very small artist's brush so that it would not absorb the stain. After shellacking the holly, the table received boiled linseed, mahogany gel stain, and semi gloss polyurethane.
