Miniature Early American Dutch Kas From the Elting-Beekman shop in Kingston, New York, circa 1730. The size is 1/12th scale of the original. The wood is antique walnut with pine secondary. The drawers are dovetailed as is the lower case. The doors hinge on pins. There are five Elting-Beekman Kasten for us to research in both private and public ownership in the immediate area. From these I made my shop drawings. Please see additional pictures on my website for close-up views of the construction. At the 2008 NWA Showcase in Saratoga Springs this Kas won Third Place among full size furniture.
