Dimensions: Queen Sized Bed; Outside 61 1/4"W by 94 13/16"L; Headboard Height - 49 7/8", Footboard Height - 33 1/2" The bed is a beautiful open sleigh bed design by Ronnie Young. I especially like how the bed uses the curved slats in the head & footboard to generate the sleigh bed form without the heavy nature that many sleigh beds have. I was taken by the bed during a visit and Ronnie supplied me with his design notes and tracings of the footboard & headboard sides. I have modeled the bed in SolidWorks and generated a detailed set of plans. These plans are available in the Member-Submitted Furniture Plans Area of our website. Hardware: I used Rockler’s 4” X 5/8” Heavy Duty Wrought Steel Bed Rail Fasteners (Item # 28589) Finish: Seal Coat of 50% Waterlox/50% Mineral Spirits 3 Coats Sprayed 1.5-pound cut Garnet Shellac 3 Coats Sprayed 1.5-pound cut Blond Shellac Sanded with 400 grit between applications Rubbed out with 0000 Steel Wool & Wax
