This is a flat-face chest-on-chest of crotch walnut. I resawed the crotches and veneered them over quartered walnut stock for the drawer fronts. The secondary woods are poplar and eastern white pine for the drawer bottoms. While this is not nearly as difficult to build as the blockfront with the bead on frame and pilaster/crown complexities, the design is equalling pleasing. There is at least a bit of complexity at the inersection of the crown/collar/return. This case features the "cupcake" urn on the finial.
