Pennsylvania Chest on Frame

Pennsylvania Chest on Frame

This tall chest on frame was designed by my mentor, Lonnie Bird, inspired by a museum piece. But, I built it in my home shop. I liked the scroll work on the apron and the Philadelphia style ball and claw feet. The quarter columns were something I had not done before and wanted to add to my experience. Apart from the carved legs and feet and the quarter columns the rest of the project was pretty straight forward, went quickly and, I enjoyed the build very much.
