This chair is based on a chair from "Plate 4 of Chairs" in Sheraton's The Cabinet Maker and Upholsterers Drawing Book. It is made of Peruvian mahogany with a crotch inlay surrounded by holly stringing in the crest rail. The seat frame is made of ash with a thick mahogany veneer on top. The seat was caned by me and took very long to do.
