This replica Thomas Jefferson desk is based on Mario Rodriguez's updated design, with breadboard ends for the writing panels, a floating rear panel, and uniform grain direction on the carcase, a defect in the original that's caused considerable warping these past 250 years. The desk is from african mahogany and holly, with hardware from Horton Brasses, a linen writing surface, and rubbed with 3 coats of blonde shellac and paste wax.
