This is a settee that I designed and built for a client in the W & M style. It was made for a home furnished entirely in authentic 17th and 18th C. American furniture, so it had to be at home in this environment. It is constructed entirely of hard maple. Joinery is pinned mortise and tenon. Dimensions are 18" H 19" D 48" L. The finish is meant to look "old". It has been stained, painted with three colors of milk paint, the last being black, shellac and wax.
