Primary Wood: Crotch Mahogany, Sapele veneers Secondary Wood: Sapele This is my reproduction of a Duncan Phyfe writing table, circa 1810. I got the plan from a Lester Margon article in the October 1959 issue of the Home Craftsman. The upper drawer is a false drawer; both drawer fronts are veneered in crotch Mahogany. The front rails are cross-banded in Sapele. The legs are turned and reeded. The hardware is from Woodcraft. The finish is a French polish.
