An original design, based on proportions and structure detailed in a Fine Woodworking article by Phil Lowe. Reeded posts turned and carved with a combination of scratch stock and carving gouges. Carved acanthus leaf urns, gadrooning and applied carving on the headboard. Hardware consists of 6 inch x 3/8 bed bolts with brass covers.
