The desk is based on the example by Lonnie Bird in the FWW Issue of 154. It has been modified in the gallery design to suit my own tastes. Both the upper and lower casses are dovetiled. In all, the peice has 196 dovetail joints, and all are hand cut. Desk and Bookcase are of American Black Walnut and has an Orange Shellac finish on it. The brasses are by Paxton Hardware.
