Jeff Headley and Steve Hamilton teach a class on how to build this box at their school, Woodworking Woodshops of the Shenandoah Valley. I have admired this box for a while and when they presented to Peach State Chapter (March 2017) and brought one of the boxes with them, I decided to make one. The bandings are lacewood with holly and black dyed lines. The inlays are sand-shaded holly, mahogany, black dyed veneer and bloodwod. The keyhole inlay is mother-of-pearl. The finish consists of Water-lox, orange shellac, M.L. Campbell Magna-Max sanding sealer, and Magna-Max lacquer in satin. The stop hinges are from Brusso.
